When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi,
He asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
And they said, Some say that Thou art John the Baptist:
some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ,
the Son of the living God.
And Jesus answered and said unto him,
Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona:
for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee,
but My Father which is in heaven. Matthew 16:13-17
You can’t see who God is unless He shows you.
And, no matter what you say or what you do, you cannot open others’ eyes.
That is God’s domain.
You can be a vessel of obedience, a light that shines in the darkness,
but the ultimate realization of Who Jesus is is up to Him to reveal.
All things are delivered unto Me of My Father:
and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father;
neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son,
and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. Matthew 11:27
God showed Himself in the Bible a few times.
Those events are interwoven into scripture.
The Spiritual knowledge of God,
the opening eyes of people to know He’s God is not commonly given.
Nebuchadnezzar saw Jesus.
Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste,
and spake, and said unto his counsellers,
Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?
They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.
He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose,
walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt;
and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. Daniel 3:24-25
Some say it’s a predestination decision on God’s part. That is false.
It is a whosoever will, come. God knows already who will and who will not.
He’s God.
Every soul has a choice.
Every soul makes that choice.
Some choose their sin and the world over Christ.
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come.
And let him that heareth say, Come.
And let him that is athirst come.
And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. Revelation 22:7
Be faithful to share the gospel.
Be sure to share His word.
His word never comes back void. Whether they agree or disagree,
the word will still go forth, the word of God must go forth.
The word of God will not and cannot be contained or restrained.
For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven,
and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth,
and maketh it bring forth and bud,
that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
So shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth:
it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Isaiah 55:10-11
We are to sow bountifully.
The seed of the word will land on the soil of a heart, another will water it,
and God will be the One who gives the increase.
