And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up,
and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. Luke 21:28
I never get tired of hearing these words
I wrote this today because there is so much turmoil in the world
and I wanted to focus on Christ’s return
So good to know this is not our permanent home
and to know that even the best moments
are pale in comparison for what He has for us eternally
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together
with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:
and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Wherefore comfort one another with these words. 1 Thessalonians 4:18
We need to be comforted,
to know He is right at the door
The culmination of time is upon us
Jesus will come in a flash
We will forget all of this
The former things will not be remembered nor come to mind
Until then, we must keep our eyes on the prize — our soon coming King
He will appear in the sky for all to see
Behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him,
and they also which pierced Him:
and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him,
even so, Amen. Revelation 1:7
He will repay all for what they have done
The corruptible will become incorruptible
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump:
for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible,
and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption,
and this mortal must put on immortality.
1 Corinthians 15:52-53
We know this world is real but it shall pass away,
God has shown us the things of this world are not eternal
Yet, it is still hard not to focus on it, not to take it too seriously
because it dominates our lives if we let it
To keep ourselves unspotted from the world is the goal,
being as close as we can possibly get to Jesus while we are here on earth
All of our efforts to Jesus will not go unnoticed
He has rewards that we cannot comprehend,
that will be so beautiful and glorious
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard,
neither have entered into the heart of man,
the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
1 Corinthians 2:9
