It is hard to understand how we can become the spotless, wrinkleless bride that Christ desires us to be.
Do not dismiss the Holy Spirit as He brings things to light.
He will expose ourselves to ourselves.
|f we push Him aside and think we have already overcome, we are failing.
Jesus expects us to have perfect hearts toward God.
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:48
Plenty of people, even Christians, think they are good enough.
That they don’t have to do anything more because “they are saved”.
There is nothing we can do to earn our salvation, however, it is a process.
If your assurance for Salvation comes from Christ and His word, you are in good shape.
Check with Him and make sure that you are not lacking anything. He will let you know.
For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. Romans 10:2-4
Without the fear of God, the reverent fear of Him, who can cast us into Hell,
we might very well choose by our own good conscience.
There is no end until we reach our destination.
The enemy will fool you and cause you to believe that you’re safe.
That is not what Jesus taught.
We cannot in any way earn our salvation. It belongs to our God.
Salvation belongeth unto the Lord: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah. Psalm 3:8
Salvation is from the Lord and belongs to the Lord.
We cannot get there on our own by our own good works.
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Matthew 26:41
Apostasy will happen. While it is hard to understand, the bible has warned us of it.
Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ,
and by our gathering together unto Him,
That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word,
nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first,
and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped;
so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4
People can and have fallen away without the antichrist.
Look at King Saul and King Solomon and Judas.
Does anyone think that they are better or stronger than those men?
When Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses, they had no fear of God. God corrected them right away.
Pray that if your fear of God is not there, that He will correct you right away.
Do not get too comfortable. The battle is furious for your soul. The deception is strong and overpowering.
Stay close to Jesus, let Him lead you and guide you, stay in His word, pray without ceasing and fast as He directs.
Those who are trusting in their own good works, efforts or devotedness will not see their Lord as Savior, but as their Judge.
Jesus said:
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit:
for without Me ye can do nothing. John 15:5
For without Him, we can do nothing.
