Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
Mark 10:15
Pretending to be humble is not the same as truly being humble.
There is humility before men and that is often outwardly.
Our primary humility should be unto the Lord. He is the One we serve.
That does not always look like humility to others.
Humility can be standing up for righteousness in the face of evil.
Humility can be preaching the gospel when it is out of fashion to do so.
This is what God said of Moses:
(Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.) Numbers 12:3
Obedience to God is humility.
Carrying your cross daily and denying yourself is humility.
Letting God have His way in your life when you want your way is humility.
Coming before Jesus for strength is humility.
Bringing your burdens before Him is humility.
Asking for forgiveness is humility.
Forgiving someone else when they don’t deserve it is humility.
Loving your enemy is humility.
Giving your enemy food and drink is humility before God.
Praying for your enemies is humility.
Holding your tongue in a squabble is humility.
Controlling yourself when you want to do the wrong thing is humility.
Humility is not always what it seems to be on the outside.
Jesus will let you see your heart if you are trying to fake it.
Keep seeking Him so you can stay on the straight and narrow.
A lack of humility is what caused Lucifer to fall.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Matthew 5:5
