Judgment Revisited, Again

I recently had a friend of 45 years reveal her heart to me
She said she could not believe the bad things coming out of her mouth
Inside her heart were many judgments she had against me
these were her judgments of my heart
She said, “I kept trying to be quiet and then every time I opened my mouth, things I did not want to say kept coming out.”

I even asked her, Have I offended you?
No, she said, “You’ve been really sweet to me.”
Her list was extensive and grueling

She was a person I shared my heart with
The Lord exposed her because she had gross judgment against me
and I should not be sharing my heart with such a person,
casting my pearls before swine

In that, I am not to judge her heart
That is left up to God

Some Christians believe they have a right to judge another’s heart
That is not their place
They confuse judging the heart with judging righteous judgment
Some condemn others to Hell
Some elevate others to Heaven
Who has given them that right?
God has not
There may be a time when He does
To hate others with vile hatred, even political figures or other famous people
This is part of idolatry and not worshiping God and trying to take His position
That judgment belongs to the Lord
Pointing out misgivings seem to be propagated by many
We, as Christians, should consider that love covers a multitude of sins

And above all things have fervent love for one another,
for “love will cover a multitude of sins.”
1 Peter 4:8

Exercise grace and mercy and leave the heavy hand
and vengeance to the Lord
After all, if our hearts are right,
we are not to call down fire from heaven on people like the disciples desired,
but to pray that hearts turn to the Lord Jesus
And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said,
Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven,
and consume them, even as Elias did?
But he turned, and rebuked them, and said,
Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of
. Luke 9:54-55

When Noah was lying naked in his tent,
one of his sons wanted to show others and point out his nakedness, mocking
The other sons refused to look and covered him
We should do the same
If God wants something exposed,
He is fully capable of bringing it to light
He does not need our help
Although at times, we may be encouraged to follow scripture

Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee,
go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone:
if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more,
that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church:
but if he neglect to hear the church,
let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican
. Matthew 18:15-17

Lord Jesus, Remind us to keep our hands clean before You
and check our hearts with You in regard to others’ failings
In Your glorious name, Jesus, Amen

Additional Scriptures:

And he drank of the wine, and was drunken;
and he was uncovered within his tent.
And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father,
and told his two brethren without.
And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father;
and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father’s nakedness.
And Noah awoke from his wine,
and knew what his younger son had done unto him.
And he said, Cursed be Canaan;
a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.
Genesis 9:21-25
