Response to the Lady Who is Unsure about Salvation

We all need to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling.

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed,
not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence,
work out your own salvation with fear and trembling
. Philippians 2:12

Nobody else can tell you that you are saved,
you must wrestle with God to get to that place.
Some people have a false sense of security.
Other people have told them they are saved.
They quote scriptures and we are to believe them.
The word of God does not lie,
but that still leaves us feeling unsure sometimes.

The fear of God is often forgotten
and people can have an entitled attitude about Salvation.
It is indeed a gift. It is by God’s mercy we will enter into His presence fully.

I find it very interesting that Jesus said of John the Baptist:
Verily I say unto you,
Among them that are born of women
there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist:
notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he
. Matthew 11:11

Maybe because John the Baptist was still here,
still walking on this earth and as great as he was, he had not yet made it.

So, we all should keep the fear of the Lord in our hearts,
that He can toss us aside if He so chooses.
He will do so to many who think they know Him. Scripture tells us that.

Many scriptures in the bible show that He wants our whole hearts
and He does not want us to be lukewarm.
That does not mean we should walk around
afraid He will not be merciful to us.
It all goes back to hearing what He says to you.
You have to know from Jesus Himself.
For no one else can decide what happens to your soul.

I suggest you fast and seek His face and listen to what He would show you.

Scriptural References:

Not every one that saith unto Me,
Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven;
but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day,
Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name?
and in Thy name have cast out devils?
and in Thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them,
I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Matthew 7:21-23

I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot:
I would thou wert cold or hot.
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot,
I will spue thee out of My mouth.
Revelation 3:15-16
