O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth. Psalm 96:1
I sing to the Lord a new song from time to time. Sometimes a tune will just come to me and I’ll sing because of what the word says in several places about new songs and how we are directed to sing them.
I was singing this morning in tongues. Most times don’t get the interpretation and figure I’m speaking in tongues of angels and just go on with my day. I was curious today what I was singing. I had never heard the language before, so I hit google translate. Here is the interpretation: “I am not going to be late.”
This was repeated 3x and that was all. It was a short song. The language detected was Filipino.
I had been praying for a concern near and dear to my heart. God had let me know He is working.
This was a special word to me and somewhat of a surprise the way the song turned out and that it was me singing to Him, but His word came forth.
Jesus is marvelous and full of wonder and awe.
It shocks me that people are so afraid of tongues. Who would refuse a gift from God? They are privately a prayer language and though some people use them as they should not be used, that is, to show off, that does not mean God has or ever will cut off the gift. At least not while humans dwell on the Earth and need His Holy Spirit.
There will always be mockers and scoffers. Woe unto those who think they know more than God.
