Do you ever lose faith?
You thought you had it, you read the scriptures, you know God heard you when you prayed.
Well, sometimes we need reminders.
We sometimes need to be reminded that God still cares about us.
We need to be reminded that He is working, that He’ll do what He says He will do.
We need to be reminded that He is watching over His word to perform it.
That He will never fail us nor forsake us.
That He doesn’t always do things the way we think He should.
If any man lack faith, God is there to help him believe.
How?
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17
Find stories where God has come through for people.
He has done marvelous works multiple times throughout the Old and New Testaments.
When God instructed people in the Old Testament, its symbolism is evident.
It was symbolism to remind His people of what He had done already and that He can be trusted.
God told them to write His words on the gates and posts and to wear them on their hands
and between their eyes and to talk about them all the time from morning until nighttime.
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children,
and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way,
and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates. Deuteronomy 6:4-9
If you need a reminder, read His word.
If you lack faith, read His word.
Come to the living water which washes us daily.
Let His word rule and reign in your heart.
