And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen,
and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit,
and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. Revelation 18:2
When I opened my twitter account in 2009, I asked the Lord for a Biblical name.
I was looking and settled on this one.
It is fitting for many reasons. I am aware of the responsibility of the gospel,
that The End Times are close and that Jesus’ return is imminent.
We will likely see His return if we are still alive.
We will also see much devastation, as the seals are being opened and The Great Tribulation is near.
When I started this blog, which was in 2020, during the pandemic,
I thought the name would be most fitting for the blog as well.
As is a warning in Ezekiel for those who know and do not warn, those scriptures resonate with me.
I seek the Lord daily for a writing prompt and try to share what He has taught me about each subject.
The main thrust of this blog though is to stimulate the reader to want to pursue more of Christ,
more of His word, more of the subject at hand or even something else the Lord has reminded you of while reading. It doesn’t matter, as long as going deeper with Jesus is the ultimate goal.
So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel;
therefore thou shalt hear the word at My mouth, and warn them from Me.
When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die;
if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity;
but his blood will I require at thine hand.
Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way,
he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. Ezekiel 33:7-9
