O Lord God, Thou hast begun to shew Thy servant Thy greatness, and Thy mighty hand:
for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to Thy works,
and according to Thy might? Deuteronomy 3:24
This was spoken by Moses who had seen many miracles beforehand.
He was handing things over to Joshua during this time.
He prayed of God’s greatness and that no one else could even compare to the works that God could do.
Praise Him for His mighty acts: praise Him according to His excellent greatness Psalm 150:2
Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for Thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men:
to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings: Jeremiah 32:19
God notices every thing, whether it be large or small, the intentions, the efforts, the acknowledgment of His Son, the choices humans make every waking hour. God’s eyes see all and will repay each deed.
The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi,
we know that thou art a teacher come from God:
for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. John 3:2
And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying,
Great and marvellous are Thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are Thy ways, thou King of saints.
Revelation 15:3
The Song of Moses is forever engraved in the hearts of men. It shall be sung through all eternity.
And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth,
which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people: Luke 24:19
The people honored Jesus. Some thought of Jesus as a prophet.
That was the best way they could describe Him.
The Jewish leaders knew most of the people thought of Him as a prophet and yet,
He was proclaiming Himself to be equal with God
which is why they considered that blasphemy and why He was killed.
Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill Him, because He not only had broken the sabbath,
but said also that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God. John 5:18
I and My Father are one. John 10:30
