Have you ever felt like you are under attack?
It seems if the devil can get a foothold somehow, then, he can inhibit your walk with God.
The Joy of the Lord is your strength? What happens if you lose that joy?
It’s not always easy to get it back. We have valleys and hills, we can’t always be on top of our game.
The life can get sucked out of us if we have too many things flying at us.
The important thing to do during these times, as during all times is seek the Lord for wisdom and advice.
Maybe we’re being disciplined?
Maybe we’re being molded and remade?
Maybe we’re just learning lessons.
Whatever the problem is, God knows the answer and He is there to direct us.
Maybe it’s just remembering humility: You’re not all that strong in the Lord, you still need Him.
Maybe you are strong in the Lord, but He is teaching you to be stronger, to fortify your walls and hide in Him a little tighter.
Remember Job’s comforters? They thought they had all the answers? Not so.
Job knew he did not have all the answers.
He sought the Lord for the answers and remembered that he was dust and God was insurmountable.
Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast made me as the clay; and wilt thou bring me into dust again? Job 10:9
For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: Job 19:25-26
How dare we compare ourselves with the suffering of Job?
That is God’s word and those words are comforting for us sometimes. God loved Job very much.
He did nothing wrong. God does what He does and our lives are in the palm of His hand.
He will see us through. He is our Redeemer and He lives.
