We serve the same God who said this:
And the Lord, He it is that doth go before thee; He will be with thee, He will not fail thee,
neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. Deuteronomy 31:8
When Jesus walked on the Earth, He told many to follow Him.
He still says that to me sometimes.
When I am concerned with things that are not my responsibility and sometimes not my business.
He will remind me where to focus and on whom I should focus.
But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead. Matthew 8:22
This world is full of dead works, people who are dead in the spirit, not awake, not aware of Jesus and His Authority and Splendor, not aware of Who He is.
We need to keep following Him, doing what He asks us to do, going where He asks us to go,
and not getting distracted by all the things that come our way.
Some things are too big for us to handle.
We would do well to lay our burdens down at His feet and, then, follow Him.
