For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line;
here a little, and there a little: Isaiah 28:10
The hearers of this word in Isaiah were offended. They mocked that they were talked to like little children
that must be slowly taught. Well, what did Jesus say to those who wanted to be the greatest?
At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
And said, Verily I say unto you,
Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
And whoso shall receive one such little child in My name receiveth Me. Matthew 18:1-5
Without humility, it is impossible to please God. We must acknowledge that we are nothing without Him.
He created each of us and without going through the door, that is Jesus, we will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
If we try to come in any other way, we will be a thief and a robber.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way,
the same is a thief and a robber. John 10:1
The word of God is to be honored and respected. It can be read in the flesh.
However, the riches of the Kingdom are there for those who seek God with their whole heart
and those who try to understand it with their human intellect, will fall flat on their faces before the Lord.
They will never understand.
In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; i
f God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth:
men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. 2 Timothy 3:7-8
If we acknowledge that we are not able to learn the mysteries of the Kingdom without God,
we must become like little children.
That is, casting down our vain imaginations, and letting God’s Word rule in our hearts.
There will be many times we do not understand what He is saying, in humility.
Let His Holy Spirit teach you, and you will be given the keys to understand what He wants to teach you.
