Some people do not love wisdom.
Some people think of God’s wisdom as foolishness.
Some people even hate it.
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness;
but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18
Some people much prefer making their own wisdom.
Even some who follow Christ become offended at some of His words that they do not like.
From that time many of His disciples went back, and walked no more with Him. John 6:66
This happened after Jesus talked of communion of eating His flesh and drinking His blood.
Those people did not understand God’s wisdom then and many still do not understand it now.
Not everyone can see and hear.
But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. Matthew 13:16
Jesus many times said, He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
Jesus clarified that the sacrament was to remember and honor His death and resurrection.
He is the bread of life, His blood cleanses us from all sin.
Man’s wisdom cannot understand this.
That is why so few will make it down the narrow road that leads to life.
If followers of Christ cannot cause their own thoughts to submit to the Bible,
they are elevating themselves above God’s word which cannot be.
A portion of God’s wisdom:
Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.
Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.
For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the Lord.
But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death. Proverbs 8::33-36
