God knows this world is not an easy place to be.
That old saying, ‘Life ain’t for sissies’ comes to mind.
Trying to get through difficult times can sometimes break you.
Maybe that is what they are supposed to do.
Break us under the pressure and humble us so we can realize we cannot bear our burdens alone.
Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me;
for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30
Walking with God is like walking the opposite direction of everyone else.
You can try to keep waving and being liked by the people in the world, but after a while, you realize,
that walking with Jesus has its costs and part of those are the adversity of the world and everyone in it.
These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace.
In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33
Jesus warned us multiple times that walking with Him is difficult.
The narrow road is not the road most people will choose. Some will give up as it gets harder.
That’s why we have to get so we can lay our burdens at His feet
and, at times, let others in the body help us bear them.
We need Jesus and we need to let go.
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses,
let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us,
and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Hebrews 12:1
