It takes humility to understand God’s ways.
For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways,
and My thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9
Many humans, including Christians, those who consider them followers of Christ,
put their own thoughts above God, above His word and above His commandments.
There are a myriad of excuses of how they consider their opinions so valuable that they rise against God.
Where is their humility and where is their fear of God?
Lack of forgiveness is what may cause the most people who think they follow God to be turned away on Judgment Day.
The roots of bitterness that are present in people’s hearts, giving them rights to justify their feelings after having been wronged.
Another controversy is those who teach that God doesn’t care about certain sins.
Not so. God is the same God who inspired all scriptures by His Holy Spirit.
If we choose to believe lies, we will find ourselves deceived. We must love the truth and value it above all of our own thoughts.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;
but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 2 Timothy 4:3-4
God’s ways are always higher and it takes humility to accept that.
