The character of God does not change.
God said: ‘You must purge the evil from among you’ multiple times in the Old Testament.
The hands of the witnesses shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the people.
So thou shalt put the evil away from among you. Deuteronomy 17:7
The lessons in the Word of God are the same throughout.
God does not want us to touch anything unclean for it will taint us, it will open doors to evil.
It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you,
and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles,
that one should have his father’s wife.
And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned,
that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you. 1 Corinthians 5:13
We are responsible for what we are convicted of from the Lord.
If He gives you a burden, pray first, listen and obey, whatever the situation.
For our own domain, we are to treat what we have jurisdiction over by honoring the Lord.
Honor Jesus in all you say and do and when you can’t, pray that He help you to do what He asks you to do.
Do not ignore His Word or what He asks of you.
Be like the dad who said, I believe, help thou mine unbelief.
He wanted to do what God asked him to do, but he needed help with that.
Keep your heart strong in the Lord with humility before Him.
For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth,
to shew Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him.
Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars. 2 Chronicles 16:9
Do your best to obey and do what God shows you to do.
He will be there for you to support you when you are doing what you can to walk in His ways.
A big part of that is continuing to purge the evil from among you.
Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth.
Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house: Proverbs 5:7-8
